I updated the Garage section of the site with some new photos of the Ragle Design ’55 Chevy Gasser project. We’ve been making some steady progress on the car over the last few months. We built a custom front crossmember to go between the new frame rails.
Also made new motor mounts.
The car is coming along nicely.
Narrowed 9in Ford rear end with a True Trac differential and 31 spline axles.
Fabrication of our custom ladder bars. We used 1in round tubing for the perimeter with a .125″ plate insert.
It took about 8000psi to flare the holes!
I let my Dad handle the TIG welding duties when it really matters. I’ll just stick to drawing for now!
Rear shock mount.
Panhard bar brackets.
It was great to finally roll the car outside. It’s always a good idea to confirm the stance from a distance. Everything is in the mock-up phase right now. Then the car will be completely disassembled, stripped to bare metal, and refinished. For more photos check out the updated Garage.
